We’re talking about Black Obsidian,  those of you that know your crystals will know the that this has some super magical qualities, those that haven’t had the pleasure, are in for a treat.

Believe it or not, this mystical stone is a type of natural glass that forms when scorching hot volcanic lava becomes overwhelmed by water – this in itself is so AWESOME!! The energy it makes when it is being created must be super charged!

It is known to be one of the most popular spiritual stones and is crystal lovers go to in healing rituals. It is said that it can remove negative energies, irrational thoughts and can even clear mental and emotional blockages. Using it while meditating can help you clear emotional blockages, so the negative energies and toxins do not build up and make you feel depressed or overwhelmed. It can also help you lock into your intuition and get you laser focused. What a crystal, is there anything it can’t do?

If you decide that this magical stone is something that you feel drawn to then you’ll have to remember to always clean and cleanse it. Easiest ways to do so are to place it under a running tap for a few moments, place it in sunlight (try not to place it in direct sunlight as it can sometimes affect the colour of some crystals), bury it in your garden for 24 hours or put it under the full moon. What ever feels powerful to you, go with your gut.

Warning – This crystal absorbs negative energies so always make sure that it is not left for others to pick up, you don’t want to pass on any negative vibes. It is a very personal crystal that will help you through some tough times. Keep it safe and keep it cleansed.
