When you are feeling anxious, depressed and generally shitty it can be almost impossible to figure out where to start to feel better. Overwhelm sets in and you spiral.
We look inwards, outwards, at triggers, at our past, at our relationships and whether we are being truthful to who we really are. Well I am here to tell you that if you are feeling unbalanced in your emotions then your chakras may be out of line my dear.
Before I go on, I want to address the fact that maintaining a perfectly balanced mind, body and soul is an almost impossible task even for the masters. Creating a lasting harmony between all of the different chemicals, emotions and hormones would be awesome for everyone but it takes time, energy and a will power like no other. Most would struggle with life getting in the way. With that being said, with a little discipline we can all give it a good shot.
So why should we all be trying to balance our chakras?
Think of your body like a river, it ebbs and flows with ease if all your chakras are moving at the right pace and letting water/energy flow freely. If, however there are blocks, your chakras are moving out of rhythm or they are too open/closed the water/energy begins to get trapped within the designated meridians which can result in SO many issues. I.e. the river overflows gets blocked or dries up.
Stress, anxiety, depression, no appetite, over eating, lack of sleep, no motivation, and feeling stuck and so on…
You don’t need me to tell you how it feels when you’re your chakras stop working effectively. Sometimes it may only be 1 and other times, all my need tweaking.
The most powerful thing about being super aware of your chakra is that it unlocks the power of your own inner awareness. If you do your homework on your chakras and find a suitable way to align them EVERYDAY then you can actually re-align them whenever you are feeling off. You’ll know what chakras need working on and you’ll have a tried and tested technique to use.
To help you along I thought I would share my personal routine of balancing chakras –
You can either use the corresponding crystal to each chakra OR go with whatever crystals you are drawn to. Balancing the crystals you are drawn to. Balancing them on yourself all at the same time can be tricky. I just hold a crystal over my first chosen chakra which is always my root chakra.
While lying down in a comfy position cup your crystal and either rest or hover your hand over chakra. I close my eyes, breathe deeply and visualise my chakra swirling around. Don’t get caught up on how fast or slow it’s going, just keep repeating your intention to balance its energy. Sit with it. Breath, slow and calming breaths.
Then move onto the next. Either use the same crystal or choose another. There are no rules to this. It’s how you feel with balancing your own chakras.
I believe that balancing your chakras on a regular basis is super important. It helps with your wellbeing, relieves stress triggers and ultimately allows your body to work efficiently. Your body is your temple after all.
